We came with two suitcases packed with pre-knit material (thanks Patricia!). In retrospect, we’re lucky we got through customs: “No, sir, really. We’re not trying to sell hundreds of 10-ft long scarves in your country. We’re making a big P!” Hmmm… sounds plausible to us.
These are the iPhone covers I created in collaboration with Uncommon – they’re still available for customization on Uncommon’s site, but now they can also be found for a limited time at Domy Books in Austin, Texas. iPhone 3g and iPhone 4 covers available. Happy holiday shopping everyone!
Ta da! Insight just released their new ad campaign. Here are a few images of my work, but go check out the official site and then Facebook for more images and info. So lucky to have worked with so many talented people on this project. See the installation process here, here, and here. Cheers!
The lamp post at Domy got yet another sweater just in time for Austin’s annual E.A.S.T. pilgrimage. Make sure to stop by on your route this weekend – Domy’s hosting a reading tomorrow night with Bill Baird and Thax Douglas. Don’t miss it! ps See the lamp post’s previous incarnation here.
The internet has shown some love lately – check out an interview on ACL’s official page about the temporary installation earlier this month. The Statesman has a great picture of my daughter and me installing the art sign at the festival. And Juxtapoz also picked up on ACL as well as my recent trip to Bali. Check out this flickr photo taken at ACL – I love it! Unrelated to ACL… but this is way overdue. A big thanks to Art Yarn […]
Another Austin City Limits – this time with a little ART. Big thanks to Emily Clark, Sarah Muench, Tony Tuzzolino, Patricia de la Rosa, Guadalupe Maria Delgadillo and Maria San Esteban… couldn’t have done it without them! (This photo courtesy of Kari Fisher… Thanks!!) The chicken wire didn’t carry the light down the tubes as well as vellum… and why don’t they make fireproof vellum? Check out more photos on ACL’s flickr site. I love this one!
I missed you! Although I need like 30 extra hours of sleep to get over this jet lag, me and the dark circles under my eyes will be working up a new project at the 2010 Austin City Limits fest all week. Here are some preliminary photos of projects going up… And… check out this light tube. Show up on Friday to see what it’s all about!
Yes yes…I am supposed to stay quiet ( Me? HAHA!!!) about this until the end of October when the Insight campaign begins. I think I can handle this. It can’t be that hard to resist telling THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD about my totally rad project in Bali!!! In the meantime I’ll fill you in on how I spent my time when I wasn’t on a milk carton that was on a milk carton that was on 2 narrow planks of […]
Day two of the bike install. Fiat gets into his work… literally. He’s the best. And this is Jesus… I mean Robbie. He is also the reason why I am here (in addition to Steve). There is a lot of eye candy going on here, ladies (and Roman)….hmm….maybe it’s time to go to yoga now. Great great second day. more to come tomorrow…
The prefab material I hunted down in the US finally arrived (thank God!) so it was time to attack Putu’s bike. Testing out the material actually takes way more time than you’d think. Fiat is the man… Thank god for this dude. He’s helping me install. Day 1 of the project went well. Now it’s time for some Thai basil roscas…
This adorable scooter and side car is one of the projects I’ll be working on this week – my next vehicle attack. And this is Putu. He clearly loves his set of wheels. Check out his hand made adornments. Putu made the eagle himself! I’ll have to spiff up the chief’s head dress a bit. Who needs a gun when you have an ax mounted to the side of your bike???? And it is freaking sharp! THIS IS GOING TO BE […]
