Lamar Street signs in progress

at 11pm: 5 signs down, 12 to go

As part of Art Week Austin, I transformed Carl Trominski’s blue signs on Lamar between Cesar Chavez and 5th Street. The City shut down the outside lanes and let us work from 8pm to 5am – an inverted work day. Here are some images of the work in progress. Daylight pictures to come!

  1. the signs are wonderful. As you know Knitta Please was one of my first blog posts ever. I live in Portland, Oregon and now my eyes are open. I see yarn bombing popping up everywhere. I smile and life feels a bit lighter as I ride by on my bike. Thank you. xo
